Evan has taken a paci since he came home from the hospital. From the very beginning, he has pretty much only gotten it in his crib for nap and bedtime.

I have been wondering when to take it away, and this morning just randomly decided that today was the day! I cut all the tips off and gave it to him, and he looked at me and said, “Momma, It’s B-roken!” It surely was

I gave it to him at naptime (broken) and he took awhile to fall asleep. I went in there to see how he made out and this is what I found. He had stuck his finger into the opening of the tip, so he could hold it close

Evan decided one day that it was time to learn his colors. I swear he went from not interested, to knowing them all in a matter of hours. I guess they just have to be ready!

I love photographing real life. They are my memories, and aren’t going to just end up burned to a CD in a drawer somewhere like a clients do.

My in-laws (aka Granny and Poppa) were in town this weekend and even though I only pulled out the camera one time, this totally tells the story of the weekend. Evan and his Poppa and Granny doing puzzles and spending quality time. They had so so so much fun together.

I just love how they are looking at eachother here!

My good friend Rachael had a beautiful baby boy about 6 weeks ago. Baby Jonah is cute and cuddly! We wanted to get some shots of him a la “photo shoot” like this:

But he was much more interested in his momma, so we let him be and I took a few snapshots instead
