Denise Grandison #33

“Denise led the team in tackles last year. She commands the defensive backs. A silent leader. She rarely talks, but lets her playing do the talking. She used to be a rugby player. She’s the player that’s rarely on the radar, but at the end of the game, you realize she’s just led the team in tackles. A solid player, Denise is always consistent. You can rely on her steady hand through even the toughest of situations.”

Margie Wells #65

“As a person usually considered small on the offensive line, Margie knows what it’s like to have the odds against her. Margie is the definition of perseverance. After being diagnosed with breast cancer, Margie took the 06 season off to face a different kind of battle. Perhaps a good reason for most to quit, Margie took it as a hurdle to work harder. She is an inspiration on and off the field. “

A little sumpin’ sumpin’ to tide you over.

Today was the first of two shoots I am doing for the Sacramento Sirens Women’s Professional Football Team. I have so many to go through, that I figured I’d post the out-takes today since it is so late and I should go to bed!

This is Jennie, my assistant for the day. We were in Capitol Park, and started off with a brrr chilly morning that warmed p to be a pretty nice day.

Some little details.

I know M has been waiting patiently for her birthday photos (they are almost done I promise!) so I wanted to remind her of some of the little details of the party! I think she did a really nice job.

My sleeping boys.

Last night, I fixed Evan his bedtime bottle as usual, and handed it to Danny to feed it to him, as usual. We have a bedtime routine around here that is rarely broken. Bottle, bath, jammies, book, bed. Last night, I walked into the living room to see something different! My two boys had fallen asleep together on the couch. In all of Evan’s 9 months, he has never fallen asleep on his Daddy.

I got two quick frames before Dan woke up, enjoy.
